Cooper Eagles SOAR!

Cooper Elementary offers a warm, inclusive, student-centered learning environment with a diverse student body. As a part of the 2018 Bond, an $11.7 million rebuild of an original section of the school was completed in 2021. Our state of the art building is designed to nurture the curiosity and collaborative spirit of all students and serves as the “Nest” of Cooper as we inspire students to “SOAR” (Safety, Ownership, Achievement, Respect). Cooper was named a Project Lead The Way Distinguished School (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023) and was awarded the Kansas State Department of Education Challenge Award (2020 and 2021).

With over 20 endorsements in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), our staff is equipped to help students from diverse backgrounds excel. Passionate and highly skilled staff look forward to welcoming students into the school where they foster a love of earning and carry a deep belief that all students can work hard and prepare for their dreams!

Along with highly skilled and passionate teachers, student learning is supported with technology such as SMART Boards, iPads (1:1 Early Childhood-1st), Chromebooks (1:1 2nd-5th) and more. We have a resource room that is open to parents and faculty with an extensive collection of materials to improve children’s comprehension and fluency. From Spanish to Laotian, many languages and needs are welcomed and accommodated by our staff. Translators are also available at some events.
