Principal's Message
Greetings Cooper Families!
Welcome to the Cooper team. We look forward to partnering with you as we support all learners on their academic journey. I am confident you will find the staff at Cooper Elementary deeply passionate about teaching and learning. Our state-of-the-art building is designed to nurture curiosity and collaboration among all students and serves as the Cooper “Nest” as we inspire students to SOAR through Safety, Ownership, Achievement, and Respect.
As a school community, we have worked together to develop our Pulse (Mission), Vision, and Common Belief Statements. These guiding principles shape our work, inform our decisions, and reflect our unwavering commitment to supporting every student. We are passionate about empowering all students to build bright futures and deeply value our partnership with families and community members as we engage together in this important work.
Fall 2026 marks my 22nd year in education. I have been fortunate to serve students and families in Derby, Wichita, San Francisco, and Austin, Texas. My passion for developing strong social, emotional, and academic skills is reflected throughout my work. Outside of school, my husband, Jeremy, and I enjoy traveling, cheering on our son Makai, an 8th grader, at the ballfield, and exploring local fishing spots and nature trails.
We look forward to working with you and your student(s)! Thank you for sharing your children with us and for partnering with us in their education. It is truly an honor to serve as the leader of Cooper Elementary!
